Vaughan’s is a family run pun and has been in the family for over 250 years. Our grandmother Nell Vaughan (Nia McMahon) came to Kilfenora as a 6 year old in 1906 to help her Aunty Mrs Killeany in the pub when her husband died suddenly.
Nell married our grandfather Paddy Vaughan in 1935. In 1970 their son John Vaughan took over the pub and ran it with his wife Kay until 2002 when their son Mark Vaughan took over. Mark runs the pub to this day.

Opened in 1994, it was originally the parlour of the family. Its cottage style provides the ideal setting to enjoy good food at affordable prices. We use only the finest products, ingredients are chosen from locally reared meat, freshly caught fish and organic vegetables from local farms.

Whatever you are planning, anniversary, wedding, after-party, etc, we provide location, food, accommodation, music… We can arrange a package to suit your needs.
Set dancing takes place in the barn at Vaughan’s in Kilfenora every Sunday night at 9.30pm with The Four Courts Ceilí Band. All are welcome from complete beginners to experts.
Set Dancing has been taking place in The Barn since 1991– it was the brain child of John Vaughans.

Please get in contact with us if you want to come as part of a tour that is maybe going around the Burren. We will be happy to cater for you.
